Aurora Energy Resources Inc. Announces the Appointment of John R. Goode, P.ENG. as Consulting Metallurgist

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 14, 2006) - Aurora Energy Resources Inc. ("Aurora") (TSX:AXU) is pleased to announce that John R. Goode, P.Eng. has joined Aurora as Consulting Metallurgist. Mr. Goode will be responsible for the direction of all metallurgical testing and process design and costing for Aurora's Michelin deposit and other deposit evaluations that may be undertaken by the Company.

"Aurora is extremely pleased to have John Goode join our staff," says Jim Lincoln, Aurora's Vice President of Operations. "John will manage all metallurgy and process design for Michelin, which is located in the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador. John brings many years of uranium process experience to Aurora's team and will be a major asset as we move forward with the project."

Mr. Goode graduated from the Royal School of Mines in London in 1963, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this project. His employment history includes six years in research and operations with Rio Algom at its Elliot Lake and Utah uranium mines, three years service with Rio Tinto's Ore Sorter company, including development of new uranium ore sorters and their installation in a plant in Colorado, and 18 years with Kilborn Engineering rising to the position of Vice President, Mining and Metallurgy.

Mr. Goode had extensive involvement in the original feasibility studies of Michelin which were conducted in the 1970s. His additional relevant experience includes: involvement in the design and commissioning of the Vaal Reefs East and South uranium plants in South Africa; expansion of the Denison uranium plant in Elliot Lake; and the design and commissioning of a yttrium by-product recovery plant at Denison. Mr. Goode has been involved in numerous other uranium projects throughout North and South America and Australia.
