Aurum Energy Park Set to Position Edmonton as a Major Logistics Hub for Oil Sands Development

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Sept. 22, 2014) - Yesterday evening, Focus Equities held a partner appreciation event that celebrated the impressive land sales in Aurum Energy Park and recognized all of those who helped make it happen. Attendees included representatives from the City of Edmonton as well as commercial real estate brokers, industry peers and investors. Mayor Don Iveson; Ed Gibbons, City Councillor for Ward 4; Gary Klassen, General Manager with the city's Sustainable Development department, as well as Focus Equities co-owners, Patricia and Kenneth W. Mariash, Sr., spoke at the event about the significant amount of economic growth and development occurring in Edmonton and how Aurum Energy Park is playing a key role in helping to make Edmonton a highly desirable logistics and fabrication hub for the oil sands.

"The types of companies investing and facilities being built in Aurum Energy Park are perfectly positioned to capitalize upon all the benefits offered here such as unparalleled access to major transportation routes connecting services, products and markets related to oil and gas development in northern Alberta," said Kenneth W. Mariash, Sr.

As a demonstration of even further support to the community, Patricia and Kenneth W. Mariash, Sr. also presented a $25,000 cheque to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation during the event. "We believe very much in positively contributing in a lasting way to the communities in which we do business. This not only means contributing to a community's economic landscape but also its infrastructure-whether that is better roadways and transportation networks or hospitals, such as the Stollery," said Patricia Mariash.

Over 20 companies such as WorleyParsonsCord, Kiewit Energy Canada, KBR, Pembina Pipeline, Saipem Canada, PCL Construction and Mammoet have purchased lots ranging from 3 to 73 acres in Aurum Energy Park. At present, only a few remaining mixed zone lots are still available in the 750-acre park. This investment opportunity offers competitive rates, building to suit and also access to expanding rail connectivity.
