AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 9, 2015) - The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce (GAACC) is proud to announce that the recipient of the GAACC 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award is William Wang, founder and CEO of VIZIO, Inc. This prestigious award will be presented at the Ovation on May 29, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Austin.

Each year GAACC recognizes Asian business leaders, companies and organizations that have made significant contributions to the American economy or the welfare of the Asian Pacific American community. GAACC's highest individual honor is the Lifetime Achievement Award. Past recipients of this award include Manoj Saxena, Founding Partner of The Entrepreneurs' Fund and The Honorable Christopher Lu, Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of Labor.

Wang's entrepreneurial career and leadership spans over twenty years. Today, Wang oversees VIZIO's strategic direction and is deeply committed to delivering visionary products at a great value.

"I am grateful to be recognized by the Austin Asian chamber and the business community in Central Texas. Austin is known for its high tech community and entrepreneurial environment, so it is a special honor to visit and receive this award. I hope my personal journey inspires the next generation of Asian Pacific American entrepreneurs to great accomplishments," comments Wang.
