Australian Chart-Toppers Eskimo Joe to Perform at Historic Live Earth Concert Saturday, July 7 in Sydney, Australia

Readies U.S. Debut Release "Black Fingernails Red Wine"

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - July 6, 2007) - Multi-platinum and multi-ARIA (Australian Grammy) award-winning rock band Eskimo Joe is honored and excited to participate in Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, July 7. Live Earth is the 7-continent spanning, 24-hour musical event focused on a global effort to raise awareness and seek solutions to the crisis of climate. For the Australian portion of the concert, Eskimo Joe will be joined by such notable artists as Crowded House, Jack Johnson, Wolfmother and several others.

Having already achieved considerable fame in their native Australia, Eskimo Joe is set to ride on to U.S. shores with the anticipated August 14 debut release of "Black Fingernails Red Wine." Armed with a superbly crafted, chart-topping album that has already propelled them to superstars in their homeland, Eskimo Joe is eager to meet and make new fans stateside with their immediately satisfying music and expertly crafted rock-pop songs.

To mark the U.S. release of "Black Fingernails Red Wine," Eskimo Joe will perform at the 2nd Annual Rykodisc Showcase, a Tipitina's Foundation benefit concert on August 10 at Tipitina's Uptown in New Orleans, Louisiana with fellow Rykodisc recording artists Will Hoge, Junior Senior and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. In other news, Eskimo Joe recorded the John Lennon tune "Mind Games" for the international double-CD release of "Instant Karma," (aka: "Make Some Noise: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur") alongside such musical giants as U2, R.E.M., Avril Lavigne, Aerosmith, Green Day, Christina Aguilera and several others who have recorded exclusive versions of iconic songs from the John Lennon back catalogue. (Yoko Ono has generously donated all "Make Some Noise" music publishing royalties to the cause.)
