Author Michael Gerber headlines SOHO Business Conference and Expo

Growing enterprises will benefit from his message. "People don't fail, systems do". Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, News Editor VANCOUVER, B.C.--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 11, 2005) - Michael Gerber, business visionary, entrepreneur and author of E-Myth Revisited, The E-Myth Manager, The E-Myth Contractor and the E-Myth Physician, will headline this year's SOHO-SME Business Conference and Expo in Toronto on October 14, 2005 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and on October 20, 2005 at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Center.

Michael Gerber has been leading a Small Business Revolution before anyone knew that one existed. Transforming the lives of over 25,000 small business clients during the past 25 years, Gerber will describe how to rise above the tyranny of routine to build a flourishing, exciting, innovative business. He suggests that "you have to see the pattern, understand the order and experience the vision".

With hundreds of examples from businesses he has operated or worked with, Gerber emphasizes that whether you are starting or expanding your business, you need to set up your business with systems that allow you to grow, franchise or sell your business. "The five essential skills for success are concentration, discrimination, organization, innovation and communication" notes Gerber. His presentation provides useful and practical tips and strategies for creating lasting business success whether you have five or 50 employees.

Founded in 1996 by Moe Somani, SOHO was created to overcome the Small Business challenges of attracting customers (revenue), managing cash flow (financing) and time management (wearing too many hats). SOHO was developed to help overcome these challenges by providing access to key business essentials, products, services and events to support growth and success of small and medium size businesses.

In 1997, the company launched the SOHO-SME Business Conference & Expo. Somani, the brainchild behind this successful event, wanted to increase the awareness of Small Business Week (October 16-22) and created a "kick-off event" to celebrate business success. He developed a very affordable way for business to access key tools, resources, and information that will make an important impact in every small business.

Each city conference includes over 50 leading-edge vendors such as Bell, Pitney Bowes, Symantec, Microsoft, Simply Accounting and more showcasing the latest products, tools, resources and information for growing businesses. An award-winning CEO/Entrepreneur Panel will inspire and motivate the audience with their real-life business experiences, success and challenges. Plus, many keynote presentations, how-to sessions, ask the expert centre, and great networking for attendees.

"This is a special week for small business. We want to give everyone the opportunity to attend the SOHO-SME business conference, making it the most affordable and value added day for each attendee", says Somani. SOHO offers small business a special rate to attend the full day conference when they register online at using a special code, soho-news. The afternoon conference and tradeshow program is free to attend with online pre-registration.
