Authorize.Net, a Service of Lightbridge, Validates Its CISP Compliance for Third Year in a Row

BURLINGTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 6, 2005 -- Authorize.Net Corp., a service of Lightbridge, Inc., (NASDAQ: LTBG) today announced that it has once again been independently validated as compliant with Visa's Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). This is the third consecutive year that Authorize.Net has achieved compliance.

CISP establishes a set of twelve industry-wide requirements designed to protect sensitive cardholder information from being compromised. These requirements, and their corresponding sub-requirements, are directed at all businesses that store, process or transmit cardholder information. Validation of compliance was conducted by an independent, Visa-qualified auditor that performed a thorough inspection of Authorize.Net's payment processing environment, including network and system architecture, IT policies and procedures, an on-site inspection of physical data center facilities, employee interviews, and more.

"The security of our systems and data is one of Authorize.Net's highest priorities," stated Roy Banks, Authorize.Net president. “We enthusiastically support and embrace industry-wide security initiatives and have created a workplace culture where each employee considers security-related issues to be a personal responsibility. I am extremely pleased to once again be certified as CISP compliant by Visa, as well as compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. Although this is our third year of certification, the standards and process remain as rigorous and the achievement as important as ever."
