Auto Club Offers Irish Literary "Pub Crawl" Tour for St. Patrick's Day


LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 15, 2007 --Travelers can follow in the footsteps of legendary writers during a Dublin "pub crawl," view highlights of Ireland's dramatic west coast, and spend this St. Patrick's Day at two ancient castles as part of a seven-day, seven-night tour offered by the Automobile Club of Southern California.

The tour begins in Dublin on March 11 and includes visits to the Guinness Storehouse and several Dublin landmarks, as well as a unique tour of several pubs frequented by luminary Irish writers such as James Joyce, William Butler Yeats and Brendan Behan. Travelers will then visit the West Coast to tour ancient cathedrals and abbeys, a traditional Irish farm, the legendary Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle and Bunratty Castle. They also have the option of dining and spending the night of St. Patrick's Day at the luxurious restored Dromoland Castle.

Cost is $1,180 per person, double occupancy, excluding airfare. The single supplement is $540. Cost includes seven nights' hotel accommodations, airport transfers, transportation to all tour destinations on a private luxury motorcoach, seven full Irish breakfasts, one morning coffee and three dinners. The Dromoland Castle option costs approximately $500 extra per person, double occupancy (rates may differ depending on room availability), but AAA members receive half off this one-night hotel rate as a member benefit.
