Automation Anywhere to Join Panel of Outsourcing Experts in SSON Discussion on Disruptive Technology

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - March 03, 2015) - Automation Anywhere, a pacesetting provider of automation software capable of automating virtually anything, today announced a collaboration with The Shared Services and Outsourcing Network (SSON) to educate and elevate the SS&O industry's knowledge of the true potential of robotic process automation (RPA) via a panel discussion on disruptive technology in outsourcing today.

The panel discussion, hosted by Genpact and featuring Lee Coulter, CEO, Ascension Shared Services at Ascension Health Ministry, Eric Simonson, Partner at Everest Group, and Automation Anywhere CEO Mihir Shukla, will take place at the 19th Annual North American Shared Services & Outsourcing Week in Orlando, Florida.

This partnership comes at an opportune time: according to a May 2014 survey, 41% of 300+ shared services, finance, procurement, and HR executives told SSON they hadn't heard of RPA, while another 26% said they would wait to find out what was being said on it in 6-12 months. Now, a year later, the topic is top of mind for outsourcing professionals. With experts estimating traditional offshore FTEs cost triple the amount as an organization implementing RPA, robotic process automation is becoming a viable and attractive solution for practitioners looking to cut costs and increase efficiency through process innovation.

Automation Anywhere provides automation software that enables organizations to automate virtually any computer-based process. Using RPA software, knowledge-workers are able to focus on higher-value work, while providers are able to increase organizational capacity. Recently, the company has partnered with organizations like Genpact in producing differentiated offerings that include RPA as an alternative to traditional labor arbitrage.

"The outsourcing world is rapidly changing, having to react to technological advances and determine how to innovatively include them in their service offerings and continue to provide superior service to their customers," said Doug Bell, VP of Marketing at Automation Anywhere. "This discussion at SSON is bound to drive a dialogue that will set the tone for future discussions on RPA's effect on outsourcing -- both for BPOs and shared services organizations."
