AvailiTime Adds iCalendar to Its Schedule Coordination and Time Management Software

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 16, 2007 -- AvailiTime, the leader in internet-based schedule coordination across business and network boundaries, announces the addition of the iCalendar standard to its supported calendars.

AvailiTime shares the availability or "free / busy times" within a user's calendar with the contacts that they choose. AvailiTime currently supports Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Google Calendar, and SalesForce.com. With the addition of iCalendar, AvailiTime users can share their availability from calendar products that support the iCalendar standard, including many web-based calendars, such as 30Boxes.com.

"Our goal is to enable AvailiTime users to select the calendar that best suits their needs, and then use our tools to manage and share their availability with the contacts that they choose." - Joseph Hill, cofounder Availion

iCalendar and open standards are central to the AvailiTime technology strategy. Features currently in development will bring AvailiTime's availability management and sharing tools to CalDAV-enabled products, such as Mozilla Sundbird and the new Windows Calendar included in Microsoft Windows Vista.

AvailiTime helps people share their availability so that they can easily schedule meetings with their contacts. Most calendar users keep more details in their calendar than they care to share, and in many cases, the appointments within a calendar do not represent when they are truly available. AvailiTime is a free service with a set of pro features that are available for a small monthly fee. The full set of features can been found on the AvailiTime website at www.availitime.com.

"Traditional solutions encourage calendar sharing, and this just isn't what is typically needed. A calendar is filled with personal details that most people can't risk sharing, what is needed is a simple way to share just the availability within the calendar and that is exactly what AvailiTime does." - Mark Terry, cofounder Availion

AvailiTime was developed by Availion LLC, a North Texas company founded in 2006 by Joseph M. Hill and Mark W. Terry.
