Avanade Opens Atlanta Application Development Center

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - March 27, 2008) - Avanade, a global IT consultancy, today announced it has opened its newest development center, located in Atlanta. The Avanade Atlanta Development Center will serve as the local hub for the company's 70 consultants working in the Atlanta market. It will also serve as a local development center focusing on mobile development, infrastructure outsourcing and application development on the Microsoft® platform.

The Atlanta location joins Avanade's network of consulting locations worldwide. With more than 40 offices across the globe, Avanade has more than 7,800 professionals serving customers in 22 countries. Avanade's South region has worked with leading companies and organizations from a variety of industries including telecommunications, hospitality, government, manufacturing, utilities, communications and hi-tech.

The Avanade Development Center is located in Midtown Atlanta. Avanade expects to see continued growth in the Atlanta market, and plans on adding as many as 150 new consultants in the coming years. Since opening in November, the center has already grown by 50 percent due to customer demand as it adds dedicated resources to serve its customers and continue to create innovative solutions for Avanade's global network.
