Avascent Strengthens Position in Commercial Aerospace, Defense and Telecommunications Consulting

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Nov 21, 2011) - The Avascent Group is pleased to announce its agreement to acquire the client roster of KittyHawk Partners (Steamboat Springs, CO). Beginning in December 2011, KittyHawk will work to transition its existing management consulting client relationships to Avascent. KittyHawk has developed a deep set of consulting relationships across a range of sectors, from Commercial Aerospace and Defense to Telecommunications. In transitioning these relationships, Avascent seeks to strengthen its position as the leading management and strategy consultancy for firms operating in these and other government-driven markets. Alexandre Schoder, a principal at KittyHawk, has formally joined Avascent and will directly support future work for KittyHawk's former clients.

Steve Irwin, the President of Avascent, said, "The addition of KittyHawk's business and key staff further solidifies Avascent's leading position in sectors undergoing tremendous change as a result of US and global business and regulatory pressures. We're not only adding KittyHawk's talent to our deep bench of experts, we're also folding in process expertise in areas such as price-to-win and capture support that bolster our specific offerings in these domains."

Tina Kyprios, the owner of KittyHawk, stated, "We are forever grateful to the clients and partners that made KittyHawk such a success through the years. I'm excited for all involved as this new chapter begins. Most importantly, the legacy that Greg Kyprios built and the analytic rigor that our clients have come to appreciate will not only be preserved, but extended, through Avascent. Further, Avascent's global presence and range and depth of service offerings will provide our clients with enhanced capabilities to achieve their growth and efficiency needs to meet emerging challenges."
