Avatier Corporation Introduces AIMS Microsoft Lync Connector

New Connector Expands Avatier's Cloud-Based Identity Management Offerings

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 30, 2014) - Avatier Corporation today announced the release of the AIMS Microsoft Lync Connector, the newest connector in the Avatier Identity Management Software Suite (AIMS). Avatier customers can use AIMS 9.5 to manage enterprise-wide MS Lync SaaS (Software as a Service) licenses. Just like the Office 365 Connector already offered by Avatier, the Lync Connector will fully automate user access and account terminations, obviating the need for custom programming and development.

According to Avatier Vice President of Services, Chris Arnold, "The AIMS Microsoft Lync Connector allows Office 365 customers to fully automate cloud-based software management. Meanwhile, identifying unused subscriptions through AIMS also neutralizes security risks and reduces costs. It's a win-win for anyone already using Lync or interested making the move to SaaS licenses."

Managing user accounts like any other enterprise application, customers can automatically grant license access or terminate orphaned accounts that needlessly drain resources. It also allows business to easily eliminate vulnerabilities due to accounts with improper privileges. This heightened control does not require any custom programming. Avatier customers can easily configure and deploy the new system.

With AIMS, Avatier customers receive out-of-the-box secure integration with Microsoft Lync. The new offering leverages the powerful DirSync tool to seamlessly integrate new AD accounts with the Microsoft Office cloud, including the Lync message client. Given the configuration demands of SaaS licenses, any small or medium business interested in Lync or considering the move to Office 365 should seriously consider automating access through Avatier.

Trends like the enterprise adoption of Office 365 increasingly demand that Avatier customers embrace cloud-based solutions. Lync joins some of the most popular cloud-based architectures already supported by Avatier, including SAP, Google Apps, and Netsuite. With this newest addition, Avatier continues to lead identity management vendors in the cloud by driving workflow and security on the newest platforms.
