Avaya Channel Executive and Program Recognized by CRN

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 24, 2015) -

  • Avaya Connect awarded 5-Star Rating in CRN's 2015 Partner Program Guide
  • Richard Steranka, vice president, Avaya Worldwide Partner Organization, named CRN Channel Chief

Avaya today announced that its channel program and channel executive, Richard Steranka have been recognized by The Channel Company's CRN publication. The Avaya Connect channel program has been awarded a 5-Star rating in the CRN 2015 Partner Program Guide, with Steranka being named a 2015 CRN Channel Chief.

This annual CRN Partner Program Guide is the definitive listing of technology vendors that service solution providers or provide products through the IT channel. The 5-Star Partner Program rating recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs.

The CRN Channel Chiefs represent the most powerful leaders in the IT channel who hold direct responsibility for driving growth and revenue for their organizations through their indirect channel partners. Individuals are selected for inclusion based on their track record of channel accomplishments, standing in the industry, dedication to the partner community, and plans for driving future business innovation and channel growth. The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs have demonstrated their enduring support for the channel by consistently defending, promoting and executing effective channel partner programs and strategies.

The Avaya Connect channel program, which now encompasses 10,000 channel partners globally, is designed to help partners build stronger long-lasting relationships and better serve customers, and reward them for their commitment. The program provides best in class sales and service support, multi-disciplinary training, marketing and sales enablement. Partners have the flexibility to decide how much time and resources to commit, with access to a corresponding level of benefits.

Avaya has received the 5-Star Award designation for six years running, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to partner program excellence. Under Steranka's leadership, the company recently restructured its partner recognition program to make customer value through expertise, customer satisfaction and experience the central theme of the program. In addition, Avaya has worked with its partners as customers begin adopting cloud-based services, enabling many to launch their own offers based on Avaya's customer and team engagement technologies for both enterprises and midmarket customers.

To determine the 2015 5-Star recipients, The Channel Company's Research team assessed each vendor's application based on investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication.

"Solution providers have a lot of choices when it comes to selecting vendor partners. Identifying the right vendor, with the right technologies, and the right approach can make all the difference," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "Our annual Partner Program Guide and 5-Star rating recognizes the best channel programs available in the market today, while the Channel Chiefs listing indicates that these programs are led by executives who strive to advance the success and standing of the channel community within their organizations. Ultimately, these designations help solution providers determine which vendors deliver the best partner elements for their individual business goals."

"A strong channel program is critical to our success in the market. A strong channel is the result of continuous conversations, mapping a full complement of business and technical training to enhance their skill set and providing quick, easy access to the support they need on the front lines, all aligned with appropriate rewards," said Richard Steranka, vice president, Worldwide Channels, Avaya. "While I am honored to be named a CRN Channel Chief, the 5-Star Award designation verifies that our efforts are best-in-class among our technology peers."

The 2015 Partner Program Guide will be featured in the April issue of CRN, and online at www.CRN.com. The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs list was featured in the February 2015 issue of CRN, and online at www.CRN.com
