BASKING RIDGE, NJ--(Marketwire - Oct 10, 2012) -
- Authorized Avaya partners can expand real-time collaboration offerings with Radvision's Scopia® video communications solutions
- More than 50 Avaya Connect Channel Partners selected for fast-track authorization to sell Radvision Scopia, expanding Radvision's global reach
Avaya today announced that members of its Avaya Connect Channel Partner Program -- a reseller program encompassing approximately 10,000 companies globally -- can be authorized to sell Radvision Scopia® video solutions as part of their unified communications (UC) offerings. This enables Avaya partners to expand their capabilities and competencies with a new generation of feature-rich, interoperable and user-friendly video solutions for real-time collaboration. These partners join the ranks of highly-competent Radvision channel program partners who sell video communications solutions across the globe.
Avaya acquired Radvision earlier this year, bringing innovative Scopia video products and technologies into Avaya's portfolio of UC solutions. This combines Avaya and Radvision solutions, providing a simple way for partners to choose and deliver ad-hoc desktop and mobile video solutions that connect separate islands of video for improved business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) communications.
Through the end of this year, Avaya Connect channel partners with existing video experience are being selected for fast-track authorization to sell Radvision Scopia solutions. To date, more than 50 Avaya Connect partners with significant experience delivering video communications have already been selected. The authorization program will be available to all Avaya Connect partners beginning in January 2013.
Avaya Connect channel partners who are authorized to sell Scopia solutions receive top-tier levels of technical support, services integration, and training for incorporating enhanced video into a communications solution.
Existing Radvision partners will continue to participate in the Radvision Eye-to-Eye partner program, and bring their powerful expertise and solutions to customers as part of their current program. Many Radvision partners have also expanded their video portfolio by joining the Avaya Connect channel program.
"Avaya Connect partners help us achieve our goal of driving high-quality, interoperable communications experiences for customers. By incorporating Scopia video solutions into Avaya's video portfolio, authorized partners can deliver greater value in video, with a wider reach. This will bring more affordable real-time collaboration video to more businesses, simplifying the ability to communicate anywhere, on any device and on any network."
--Tom Mitchell, senior vice president and president, Avaya Go to Market
"Avaya is helping accelerate the adoption of video solutions in the enterprise and mid-market segments by arming its partners with full-feature, interoperable video solutions tailored to meet the real-time collaboration and mobility needs of today's workers. Including the Radvision Scopia portfolio in the Avaya Connect Channel Program will help Radvision-authorized partners acquire the training and expertise needed to deliver rich, user-friendly video experiences to customers."
--Rob Arnold, program manager, Unified Communications and Collaboration, Information & Communication Technologies, Frost & Sullivan
