Avaya Names XETA Technologies as the 2008 Enterprise BusinessPartner of the Year for North America

BASKING RIDGE, NJ--(Marketwire - October 17, 2008) - Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, today announced that Xeta Technologies of Broken Arrow, Okla. is the 2008 Enterprise BusinessPartner of the Year for North America. The award honors the leading Avaya BusinessPartner demonstrating significant revenue performance and overall growth during the past year.

The award was recently presented at the Avaya Global Sales and Partner Conference in National Harbor, Md.

"The Avaya Enterprise BusinessPartner of the Year designation recognizes a company's commitment to a relationship with Avaya focused on delivering value, innovation and service to our customers," said Carol Giles Neslund, vice president, North America Channels, Avaya. "XETA has clearly proven they have a winning strategy with results that drove them to the top of the charts."

In 2008, XETA achieved more than 65 percent growth in revenue from Avaya Unified Communications and Contact Center solutions to enterprises in addition to 50 percent growth in sales of Avaya Services.

"This award reflects the commitment that our organization has to Avaya's product and service offerings," said Don Reigel, XETA's Executive Director of Avaya Sales. "XETA will benefit from increasing recognition as a leading provider of Avaya equipment and services, at a time when Avaya is transitioning to a more channel centric organization. Avaya's increased emphasis on supporting channel partners is a mutually beneficial strategy that can accelerate top line growth in both organizations and allow us to continuing to deliver the very best service to our customers."

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is one of the organizations that has benefited by the successful relationship between XETA Technologies and Avaya. The school district -- the fourth largest in the country -- is working with XETA to replace its voice system with new, Avaya IP-based communications. The new Avaya system will help reduce telephony costs and enhance efficiency for faculty and staff. More importantly, the systems provide the functionality and reliability required to comply with the state-legislated health, safety and security requirements in the district.

XETA Technologies is a Platinum-certified member of the Avaya BusinessPartner program.
