Avea, BT, China Unicom, DGIT, Huawei, NetCracker and Verizon Named 2015 TM Forum Excellence Awards Winners

Eight Winners Honored for Leadership, Innovation and Dedication to Advancing Digital Industry Standards at TM Forum Live! 2015

NICE, FRANCE--(Marketwired - June 02, 2015) - TM FORUM LIVE! - TM Forum, the global industry association for digital business, today announced the winners of the prestigious 2015 TM Forum Excellence Awards. Avea, BT, China Unicom, DGIT, Huawei, NetCracker and Verizon have been recognized for their commitment to developing best practices to enable the future of the digital industry, underpinned by TM Forum's Frameworx™ suite of best practices and standards that provides the blueprint for effective and efficient digital business operations.

This year's Excellence Awards winners were recognized in front of an audience of senior industry executives at a gala dinner at the Palais de la Méditerranée on Monday, June 1st at TM Forum Live!, TM Forum's flagship conference. The winners were also honored during the event's opening keynote session on Tuesday, June 2nd.

The 2015 Excellence Awards winners are:

AVEA -- Telaura Catalog-Driven Order Management for Customer Centricity
TM Forum Customer Centricity Award (Service Provider)
Telaura Catalog-Driven Order Management (CDOM) for Customer Centricity aims to simplify order management, provide an end-to-end visibility of orders, and improve delivery times and fulfillment of all products/bundles. Avea chose Etiya's Telaura solutions to launch Project UNICORN, placing a centralized product catalog, unified order capture and customer order orchestration layer at the core of Avea's ecosystem.

BT PLC -- BT Compute
TM Forum Open Digital Ecosystem Award
Compute Management System (CMS) enables the rapid construction and operation of digital ecosystems. CMS now underpins some of BT's most innovative offerings including IoT/Smart Cities, BT for Life Sciences and BT Trace/Logistics, while enabling a growing range of go-to-market and channel partner initiatives.

CHINA UNICOM -- Big Data Analytics Supporting Customer Centricity

Additionally, China Unicom has improved its customer segmentation models, effectively shortening the initial design time and deepening the company's understanding for improving model accuracy. HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES -- Digital inCloud Solution

Huawei's Digital inCloud is an end-to-end ICT solution that helps mobile operators build a digital ecosystem to increase their revenue by transforming them from CSPs to digital service providers and expanding their domains from individuals to new digital businesses (home, enterprise and industry).

HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES -- Huawei BSS Solution
TM Forum Agile Business & IT (Solution Provider)
Huawei BSS is a new generation Business Support System (BSS) designed for supporting CSPs in accomplishing digital business transformation in the areas of digital customer experience, diverse digital products and partner business operations. Huawei BSS consists of the front-end component such as digital store front, customer relationship management and multiple channel collaboration, and the back-end component including product management, revenue management, order management, resource and logistics management.

The 57 nominees and 32 finalists in the 2015 TM Forum Excellence Awards were judged by an impartial and independent panel of leading industry experts and analysts, including Elisabeth Rainge, research vice president, CSP operations, IDC; Kiran Thomas, vice president, products and innovation, Reliance Jio; Pascal Viginier, group CIO, Orange; Keith Willetts, founder and former chairman & CEO, TM Forum; Julie Woods-Moss, chief marketing officer & CEO of Nextgen Business, Tata Communications Ltd.; and Michael Wu, chief executive officer, Asiainfo. The judging panel was led by Chairman Steffen Roehn, CEO, Roehn Management Consulting GmbH and former group chief information officer of Deutsche Telekom.
