Aventail Expands Italian Distribution With Xerity

Xerity to Support Aventail's Growing SSL VPN Sales and Support in Italy

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 5, 2006 -- Leading SSL VPN product company Aventail is expanding its distribution in Italy through a new agreement with Xerity, a newly established security solution provider in the country. Xerity will provide sales and support to Aventail's growing clientele in the region.

"With security being the top priority for enterprise and SMB customers, an affordable solution with top class security features and protection is the requirement today," said Andrea Polo, Deputy Managing Director, Xerity. "Aventail's leading SSL VPN technology coupled with Xerity's expertise in providing innovative, cutting-edge secure remote access solutions make this relationship a strong one," he added.

Aventail's SSL VPN is a scalable, enterprise class, clientless solution based on Aventail's proven Smart SSL VPN platform. Aventail's clustering and high availability support with load-balancing is an ideal solution for hundreds or thousands of users. The secure application platform is designed to provide practical, easy-to-use anywhere access to Web, client/server, and file shares from any device combined with simple manageability and usability. All of this makes it a clear alternative to IPSec-based VPNs. Many of Aventail's customers worldwide are replacing legacy IPSec solutions with the Aventail SSL VPN in order to have one solution for all remote access scenarios.

"We are very excited to partner with Xerity in Italy to offer its existing and future partners a more simplified, secure and cost effective anywhere access solution, and to increase our market share in the region," said Jean-Pierre Carlin, Aventail's Regional Director, South Europe. "By adding the best of breed SSL VPN technology to its existing products portfolio, Xerity is now in a strong position to help enterprises deliver secure anywhere access from any Internet-enabled device on any network without the cost burdens of traditional remote access."
