Aventura Hotel Serves Local Children With Holiday Breakfast & Toy Drive

AVENTURA, FL--(Marketwired - Jan 2, 2014) - This past holiday, hundreds of underserved children were able to wake up Christmas morning with something under their tree thanks to the generous donations by members of the Courtyard Miami Aventura Mall community. On December 5, 2013, the Aventura hotel teamed up with the Aventura Marketing Council, Aventura Police Department and Salvation Army for its Holiday Breakfast & Toy Drive, collecting more than 100 toys for children and teens.

More than 100 people -- members from the community, guests staying in the Aventura hotel rooms and business partners -- came together for the morning event, which served not only as a toy drive but a networking opportunity. The event was hosted at the Courtyard Miami Aventura Mall, which donated the space, and featured a complimentary breakfast from The Bistro and four door prizes that included two holiday baskets from Le Chocolatier and two gift certificates for two complimentary nights each at the hotel.

The event at this Aventura Mall hotel opened with general manager Jose Batista, who welcomed guests before introducing the Aventura Police Department. A representative of the Salvation Army was in attendance, and thanked everyone for their donations, which totaled more than 100 new and unwrapped toys. Then, the Aventura Marketing Council recognized their Officer of the Month before the door prizes were drawn.
