Aver Informatics Prepares for Rapid Scale, Adds Two Executive Team Members

New Leadership to Lead With Culture-Driven Values to Attract Best-In-Class Talent

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - November 21, 2014) - Michael T. McDonnell and Mike King have joined Aver Informatics' executive team as Chief People Officer and Vice President Global Sales, respectively. Providing a patented data management platform that simplifies the healthcare reimbursement process, Aver Informatics is radically changing the industry to positively impact healthcare providers, payers and, most importantly -- consumers. The addition of McDonnell and King exemplifies the company's plans for widespread scale, growth and rapid advancement, while building a unique culture.

"It's all about the 'who' with Aver," explains McDonnell, "and creating an environment of safety and opportunity for our people, whom I fondly call 'Averians.' The company is well positioned for growth, and our people joined this endeavor because they are drawn to something that is bigger than all of us -- the healthcare system in this country is on the 'brink' and what we are developing is industry changing. This is a generational problem that must be repaired -- and we look forward to continuing to build an amazing team of like-minded people that know we can affect change and be disruptive."

The company foresees growing to 40 'Averians' by the end of 2014, expanding its staff 400 percent in just six months. "In order for us to continue on this incredible trajectory, it was important for us to build a world-class executive team," says founder and CEO Kurt Brenkus. "Michael and Mike came to Aver because they believe that what we're doing will transform the future of healthcare payments. They both left successful executive positions in order to join our team, and we are thrilled to have them with us."

McDonnell will be responsible for talent acquisition, human resources (which he refers to as "resourceful humans"), administration/operations, learning/education, and building a platform that the business can scale and grow on. "We are all about the cultural trifecta of people, value and capacity," he explains, "and the environment at Aver is laser focused on those three elements." McDonnell most recently was at TOA Technologies, which grew from 60 to 600 and was acquired by Oracle Corporation in August of this year, representing the largest software transaction in the region.

Focused on scaling the business, King will develop a high-impact field/sales team to support the growing demand for Aver's innovative platform. "Building a business from the bottom up is what energizes me, and Aver's potential is limitless," King explained. "It's rare that you find a company with all the ingredients, but Aver has everything, and it's ready to revolutionize the currently broken healthcare reimbursement model." King was an early employee at PeopleSoft, which grew to over 11,000, and was also acquired by Oracle. King will have all field operations including Solutions Consulting and Business Development.

With nearly 40 years of leadership and sales experience between the two new executives, Aver foresees seamless expansion. The company is actively looking for new offices for its headquarters in Columbus as they are outgrowing their current space at 448 West Nationwide Blvd., the previous office space of lead investor Drive Capital. They will also maintain a secondary office located in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
