Average Project Spending for the Chemical Processing Industry Continues to Increase

SUGAR LAND, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 27, 2007 --Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas). Chemical processing industry (CPI) project activity has continued to increase in the United States and Canada in recent years and the average total investment value (TIV) for each project has moved up with it. Based on active and completed projects tracked as part of Industrial Info's North American Project Database, the average project TIV for CPI projects beginning construction in this year will exceed $10.9 million, a substantial increase over the average CPI project in 2006 at just over $6.4 million each. The significant variance is partly due to the increased level of projects identified but also a large number of very large projects exceeding $10 million planned to begin construction this year.
