Avere Systems Honored as 2015 American Business Award Winner

Avere Systems Wins Silver Award for Most Innovative Company of the Year for Companies With up to 2,500 Employees

PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwired - Sep 18, 2015) - Avere Systems, a leading provider of enterprise storage for the hybrid cloud, announced today that it is a Silver American Business Award winner for Most Innovative Company of the Year for companies with up to 2,500 employees. Thousands of nominations from organizations of all sizes and across virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration. Award winners were selected by more than 200 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.

Avere was recognized for its outstanding achievements over the past year and its groundbreaking hybrid cloud technology. In 2014, Avere announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services and introduced a software-only version of the FXT Edge filer, a virtual NAS solution that provides the ability to deploy and scale compute in the cloud while using both on-premises and cloud-based storage resources. In 2015, it announced a similar strategic collaboration with Google Cloud Platform. Customers across a wide range of industries, including media & entertainment, life sciences, government and financial services choose Avere for its flexible architecture that enables data to be easily moved between traditional on-premises systems and cloud storage. For example, in the media & entertainment industry, every one of the top twelve grossing blockbusters in 2014 used Avere to help process special effects.

"Avere is honored to be recognized by the American Business Awards," said Rebecca Thompson, vice president of marketing, Avere Systems. "The growth Avere has experienced over the last year is an incredible achievement and a testament to the demand for next generation data center technologies. We're happy to be a leader in the space and look forward to continuing momentum."

Avere is pleased to add the American Business Award to its growing number of industry honors. The company was named a Top Place to Work for two consecutive years; was the 2014 Red Herring Top 100 North American Winner; won the Carnegie Science award for innovation in data storage technologies, and CEO Ron Bianchini won Executive of the Year for the Best in Biz Awards and was a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014.
