Avid Technology Selects Omniture to Optimize the Online User Experience Across 20 International Sites

The World Leader in Digital Media Production Will Use Omniture to Gain the Customer Insight Needed to Coordinate Worldwide Online Initiatives

OREM, UT--(Marketwire - July 16, 2007) - Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider of online business optimization software, today announced that Avid Technology, the world leader in digital media creation, management, and distribution solutions, has selected Omniture to measure visitor behavior across its network of Web sites to ensure effective engagement to a diverse audience. Using Omniture SiteCatalyst® Web analytics, Avid will have the ability to optimize each of its 20 international sites, and gain the information they need to coordinate worldwide online initiatives.

"As a global company, we work with various consumer demographics and support several sites in multiple languages. On top of that, our vast product line attracts a diverse audience of professionals in the broadcast, film and video production space -- so trying to determine how to market effectively to each visitor can be a real challenge," said Christina Howe, director of Web strategy and development at Avid Technology. "With Omniture, we will be able to identify which online campaigns and promotions work best for each audience -- providing country managers and marketing managers alike with the information they need to structure their sites' content in ways that drive the highest results for each area of focus."

In addition to identifying consumer trends across geographic locations, Avid will use SiteCatalyst to measure visitors jumping from one country site to another, and determine the factors influencing this type of behavior and its associated impact on revenue. Avid also plans to leverage Omniture's ClickMap technology -- a visual heat-map overlay that reveals the most popular links on a Web page -- to gain a quick snapshot of content performance.

"Understanding how to market effectively to multiple consumer demographics is a critical issue, especially for global companies," said Gail Ennis, senior vice president of marketing at Omniture. "Omniture provides companies with the international support they need, including multiple languages and currencies, and enables the flexibility they need to view their online business according to their own unique requirements."
