Award-Winning Author and Navy SEAL Eric Greitens Named Keynote Speaker at GetConnected 2013

Celebration Health CEO Monica Reed, M.D., to Moderate General Session Panel

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - Jan 24, 2013) - GetWellNetwork, Inc.®, the leading provider of Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced that former Navy SEAL Eric Greitens will deliver the keynote address at its sixth annual user conference, GetConnected 2013, to be held in San Diego, Calif., April 15-17. The three-day conference highlights patient engagement as a strategic imperative for quality care and performance improvement as the nation shifts to a value-based health system.

Greitens is a celebrated author and expert on how to lead organizations through challenges. As a Navy SEAL, Greitens led teams on deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, and as an international humanitarian volunteer, he worked with refugees of the Rwandan genocide and survivors of landmines in Cambodia. As the founder and CEO of The Mission Continues, a national non-profit organization, he inspires veterans to serve and lead in communities across America. Drawing on these experiences, Greitens will present the GetConnected 2013 keynote, "Inspired Leadership through Challenging Times," which will address the need to unite through a common purpose and spirit of service to meet the demands of change -- a theme that defines this era of health care transformation.

Monica Reed, M.D., CEO of Florida Hospital Celebration Health, a recognized leader in IPC innovation, will moderate the GetConnected 2013 general session, which assembles a panel of health care leaders to outline proven approaches to organizational change in driving a new care delivery model. These industry experts will define IPC in action, from strategic objectives to the integration of patient engagement initiatives and technologies into daily practice. In addition, they will deliver practical recommendations to secure the commitment and change the behavior of individuals from top management to the front line within an organization.

Through inspirational keynotes, user-led sessions, poster presentations and hands-on workshops, GetConnected 2013 attendees will learn best practices and acquire tools to drive integration, utilization and accountability for IPC throughout their facilities.
