The Verdi's to Focus Strictly on Verdi Productions and Its Five Feature Films Being Released Over the Next 18 Months

EAST GREENWICH, RI--(Marketwired - May 28, 2015) - The Woodhaven Production Company along with Verdi Productions, are pleased to announce that Tom DeNucci has been named as the next President and CEO of The Woodhaven Production Company. The transition will take place over the next 90 days and includes a 10 picture distribution deal with Screen Media Films, with a VOD platform release from Universal Studios that will reach over 100 million homes.

WHP has produced 5 feature films over the last four years that include 'Inkubus', 'Infected', 'Self Storage', 'Army Of The Damned', and 'Almost Mercy'. All five features have had huge viewing success selling over 400,000 DVD's to RedBox, Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. and reaching over 100 million homes through Universal's VOD platform. Many, if not all of these films, can still be viewed today on Netflix and Apple. The success of these films was not just within the US but also spreads to over 35 other countries worldwide.

Chad A. Verdi stated, "The WHP Company is one of only a handful of independent production companies in the world operating under a 10 picture distribution deal. I am very, very proud of having been able to put this deal together and now will hand it off to Tommy. This company has huge potential going forward because of both the deal in place and Tommy's talent. Tommy has worked very hard and deserves the opportunity of moving WHP forward. He is one of the most talented individuals I have ever met. He can write, direct, and act with the best of them. This is most recognized in his latest film 'Almost Mercy' which is currently on VOD."

"Woodhaven is redefining how films are made on the East Coast. Unlike other film projects that come to the Northeast, Woodhaven is establishing itself as a fixture in the Rhode Island community. Woodhaven does not operate on a project-to-project basis, but instead functions like a west coast studio, with established offices, full time employees, and a continuous stream of product. This is something Tommy has been part of from the beginning."

Verdi added, "Michelle and I will focus strictly on Verdi Productions going forward. Running two production companies was way too much work. Verdi Productions has five feature films coming out over the next 18 months and we want to stay focused on them. We just wrapped 'Bleed For This' starring Miles Teller and Aaron Eckhart in December and I just got back a few weeks ago from Taiwan where 'Silence' is being filmed. 'Bad Hurt' just premiered at Tribeca and we expect that film to be released later this year.

"We acquired the domestic rights with Screen Media to the film 'Ten Thousand Saints', starring Ethan Hawke, Hailee Steinfeld, and Emile Hirsch that will hit theaters this summer. 'War Pigs' starring Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren is scheduled for release in theaters in early October. In 2016 we have 'Silence' that was written and directed by Martin Scorsese and features Andrew Garfield, Liam Neeson, Adam Driver, and Ciarán Hinds.

"Michelle and I wish Tommy and the rest of the Woodhaven team all the best and much success."

DeNucci stated, "It's an honor to be appointed to this great position as President and CEO of The Woodhaven Production Company. Chad and Michelle have created a unique and dynamic film company here in Rhode Island that's recognized worldwide. I look forward to carrying that success into the future, while continuing to create opportunities for others. I'm thrilled to have a very talented team on board and excited to make new additions in the months to come."

Cinematographer Sam Eilertsen has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer, David Gere has been brought on as Vice President of Operations, Sherry Lussier will be Chief Legal Counsel and Executive-Producer and David Lussier as Producer will join Jonathan Del Ponte as Board Members.
