Etobicoke Chamber of Commerce presents Business Excellence Awards

Attention: Business/Financial Editor, City Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor ETOBICOKE, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 24, 2007) - Respected Etobicoke business leader Alain Sutton has been named the 2007 Business Person Of The Year, receiving the highest individual recognition at the 10th annual Business Excellence Awards from the Etobicoke Chamber of Commerce.

It was one of six awards presented by the Etobicoke Chamber, a division of the Toronto Board of Trade, at last night's Awards Gala at the Westin Bristol Place Hotel.

Planning Committee Chair Gino Piscelli pointed to the air of suspense as the award envelopes were opened as evidence of both the fun and significance of the annual Gala.

"Participants have nicknamed it 'Academy Awards North' because it builds so much excitement", said Piscelli, "Given the high calibre of finalists and recipients at the Awards Gala, it's become a significant date in the GTA business calendar. Everyone should be extremely proud of the growing number of Etobicoke businesses achieving extraordinary levels of excellence and integrity."

· Manufacturing - Great Lakes Brewery Co.
· Retail Services, under 25 employees - Ridley Funeral Home
· Retail Services, 26 employees & over - ASP Security Services
