Aware Web Solutions and Hanson Dodge Creative Lauded for Outstanding Web Solutions for the Financial and Tourism Industries

Sitecore Recognizes Innovative Use Cases of CMS Technology

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2011) - Sitecore today recognized outstanding implementations developed on the company's Web platform as part of its North American Outstanding Solutions Program.

For Q1 2011, the partners recognized for developing innovative solutions on the Sitecore Web Content Management (CMS) platform are Aware Web Solutions and Hanson Dodge Creative. Each of the selected projects were chosen based on submission forms, architectural diagrams and relevant code; reviewed by Sitecore's technology panel. In addition, each partner participated in an in-depth interview to discuss how they responded to the customers' most complex architecture, development and deployment challenges.

More details on the projects include:

  • Aware Web Solutions leveraged its deep expertise in implementing and customizing Sitecore's CMS solutions for Motorola Employees Credit Union (MECU). MECU serves nearly 39,000 members. Aware Web Solutions customized several integrations including Google Mini to serve as the foundation for all public-facing search functions of the site. In addition, using Sitecore's Web Forms for Marketers module, Aware built custom field types to allow field validator notifications to be repositioned to better align with site design requirements. Lastly, Aware implemented a custom item Editor and related custom field to allow MECU to create and manage content including images, links, forms and fields of data in a central location with the ability to post to various pages throughout the site.
  • Hanson Dodge Creative is recognized for its work with the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. The Department's Travel Wisconsin website contains information on thousands of Wisconsin businesses and events, maintained through a custom CMS by industry partners throughout the state. Sitecore's CMS was integrated with this custom CMS to allow Department of Tourism employees to create new site pages which combine unstructured content with data from the custom CMS. Within the Sitecore solution, content editors utilize Custom Editors to choose existing content from the non-Sitecore database, and then assemble and render that content to various content hubs throughout the site. These content hubs promote organic search traffic and provide a central resource for site users on targeted subjects.
