Brian Zanghi Takes Over Top Spot at Growing Social Media Management Software Company

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) - This week Awareness, Inc., provider of on-demand social media management software (SMMS), announced the appointment of Brian Zanghi as CEO effective immediately.

With more than 20 years of sales and executive leadership in the high technology industry, Zanghi successfully led Kadient from 2004 to 2010. During his time as CEO, he orchestrated the transformation of Kadient from an RFP automation software company to the leading provider of on-demand sales enablement applications. Zanghi was a key architect in orchestrating the merger between The Sant Corporation and Kadient to form Qvidian, the largest sales enablement company in the space. Prior to joining Qvidian, Zanghi was the Chief Operating Officer of SPSS, Inc., a $250 million publicly traded software business well known in the predictive analytics and statistical analysis market. In July 2009, IBM announced its plans to acquire SPSS for $1.2B. He was formerly Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations at eRoom Technology (acquired by Documentum), which was an early leader in web-based collaboration and hosted document management software. He was also President of PC Docs, where he was instrumental in that company's high-growth phase from $8 million to $80 million and beyond. Earlier in his career, Zanghi was with Interleaf, a provider of integrated hardware and document creation technology that was, at the time, the leading provider of advanced document generation systems.
