Awarepoint Expands Board of Directors and Adds Seasoned Executives to Support Expanded Growth

Company Appoints Former Eclipsys CEO R. Andrew Eckert to Board, Carlene Anteau as Vice President of Product Marketing, and Erica Davidson as Vice President of Human Resources

Andrew Eckert, CEO of CRC Health Corporation and former CEO of Eclipsys Corporation, to its board of directors. The company also named Carlene Anteau, M.S., R.N., as vice president of product marketing, and Erica Davidson, M.A., H.R.M., P.H.R. as vice president of human resources to support expanded marketing and employee acquisition, development, and communication activities as it experiences tremendous demand for its aware360°Suite of real-time location system solutions.

R. Andrew Eckert

Eckert, an industry veteran, has served as the CEO of private and publicly traded companies for the past 15 years. He brings broad strategic planning, managerial, operational, quality improvement, and financial experience to Awarepoint.

Currently, he is the CEO of CRC Health Corporation, a leading provider of substance abuse treatment and adolescent youth services in Cupertino, Calif. Prior to CRC, he was a managing director of Symphony Technology Group, a private equity firm. From 2005 through 2009, he served as president and CEO of Eclipsys, the $520 million electronic health records company now owned by Allscripts. Eckert also served as the CEO of SumTotal Systems Inc. and ADAC Laboratories. While at ADAC, the company was the first healthcare organization of any type to win the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality award. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in industrial engineering and a master's in business administration degree from Stanford University.

Carlene Anteau, M.S., R.N.

As vice president of product marketing, Anteau will be responsible for supporting the sales team, optimizing brand awareness, driving thought leadership and content management, supporting customer service initiatives, and providing direction for product development.

Anteau brings 10 years of experience as a critical care nurse and 14 years of healthcare information technology experience to Awarepoint. Prior to joining the company, Anteau held clinical software sales and marketing leadership positions for over 11 years at McKesson Corporation. Those posts included vice president of health systems enterprise solutions marketing and clinical sales executive for the midwest region. Anteau also served as regional sales manager at Planar Systems Inc., representing their medical-grade hardware.

Anteau was a critical care clinical nurse specialist at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. She has published and spoken nationally on a variety of topics including disaster preparedness and point-of-care computing. She holds a bachelor's of science degree in nursing from the University of Toledo and a master's of science degree in medical-surgical nursing from the University of Michigan.

Erica Davidson, M.A., H.R.M., P.H.R.

In the role of vice president of human resources (HR), Davidson will lead HR activities including organizational planning and development, talent recruitment and development, benefits and compensation, creation and execution of staffing strategies, employee development programs, and performance management.

Before joining Awarepoint, Davidson held positions of progressive responsibility at Breg Inc., a $100 million entity acquired by Orthofix International, a leading medical device company renowned for orthopedic care advancements. As manager of human resources, Davidson oversaw the implementation and administration of HR programs and worked closely with management regarding employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefit management, and training and development. Davidson holds a bachelor's of arts degree in sociology from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, Calif. and a master's degree in human resource management from the University of Westminster, London.
