AWE System Slated to Increase Productivity in the Workplace While Reducing Liabilities and Building Operating Costs

TUCSON, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 7, 2006 -- Environmental Technologies International, Inc. (OTC: EMTI) announces that, in addition to providing savings through lower electrical energy consumption, the AWE system will garner savings for the building operator/owner in other ways, including increasing productivity, reduction in liabilities, and potentially lower insurance costs.

The following statements leave no doubt as to how important a factor the quality of the Indoor Environment is in our everyday lives:

“Indoor environmental quality (IEQ) refers to the quality of the air and
environment inside buildings, based on pollutant concentrations and
conditions that can affect the health, comfort and performance of
occupants -- including temperature, relative humidity, light, sound and
other factors. Good IEQ is an essential component of any building…
Creating a better indoor environment can help building owners, managers,
occupants, architects and builders to minimize or eliminate the negative
health effects, liability, bad publicity, and costly renovations and
repairs often associated with IEQ problems. Improving IEQ involves
designing, constructing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining
buildings in ways that reduce pollution sources and remove indoor
pollutants while ensuring that fresh air is continually supplied and
  properly circulated.”
…The United States Environmental Protection Agency
The Lung Association points out that employees' "health may be at risk from poor IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) at work. Poor IAQ can exacerbate allergies and asthma, cause eye, nose and throat irritation, or can result in fatigue, nausea or illness. The health effects of these symptoms can lead to poor work performance and productivity, as well as one's own well being. In the long-term, these symptoms could also lead to sickness, missed work and loss of income."

The association goes on to say that it is an employer's "responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Poor IAQ can impact the health of your employees and result in increased absenteeism, reduced productivity, and potential safety hazards. Increased health claims from IAQ related impacts or illnesses can be avoided"... by taking steps to improve a building's IAQ.

Through a retrofit to HVAC systems on existing buildings, the AWE system is capable of significantly reducing electrical costs, while also improving air quality and humidity control, and achieving the virtual elimination of mold and mildew in the building. At no extra cost, the system also produces by-product pure water for use by building tenants. AWE is the truly green approach to conserving energy.
