AXA Art Insurance Corporation Appoints Robert H. Pittinger as Director of Underwriting

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2009) - The world's leading art insurance specialist, AXA Art Insurance Corporation, announced that Robert H. Pittinger has been appointed as its Director of Underwriting. Mr. Pittinger brings more than 30 years of comprehensive industry expertise to the position, with experience in leadership, broker relationship management and best practice accountabilities in assessing and underwriting both commercial and personal insurance risks.

Pittinger joins from Chartis, (formerly AIG), where he served as liaison to the company's foreign field offices – and most recently, as vice president of product development. As team leader and broker relationship manager, he assisted the company's commercial and consumer lines profit centers with product innovation and product development strategies. In his new role at AXA Art, Mr. Pittinger will report to Christiane Fischer, President and CEO of AXA Art Insurance Corporation.
