Axiom Microdevices to Present "CMOS Based PAs" at the 2006 IEEE RFIC Symposium

Co-Founders Will Discuss Techniques for the Design of Watt-Level CMOS Power Amplifiers on Sunday at Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Conference

IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 9, 2006 -- Axiom Microdevices Inc., provider of the world's first and only fully integrated complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) power amplifiers (PA), today announced that its co-founders, Scott Kee and Ichiro Aoki, will present a technical tutorial session at the 2006 IEEE RFIC Symposium, sponsored by the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) on Sunday, June 11.

Who

Scott Kee, Chief Technology Office/Co-Founder -- Kee brings a strong background in the research and development of radio frequency (RF) and microwave techniques to his position as CTO of Axiom Microdevices. Kee has experience in integrated and hybrid microwave components, near field sensing MEMS devices, and leads the field in RF power amplifier design techniques. Kee holds a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware and master of science and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif.

Ichiro Aoki, Chief Architect/Co-Founder -- Aoki possesses more than 10 years of experience in the development and management of technology-based businesses. Before Axiom Microdevices, he co-founded and served as co-CEO of PST Ind Eletronica da Amazonia Ltda, a consumer electronics manufacturing company that led the Brazilian car alarm market with 50 percent market share and 300 employees. For PST, he managed its product development, finance and marketing efforts during different phases of the company's development. Ichiro holds a bachelor's degree from UNICAMP in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and master of science and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif.

The Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) sponsors, co-sponsors, technically sponsors and cooperatively sponsors approximately 45 national and international symposia, conferences and workshops of interest to MTT-S members.
