"Our WiMAX platforms have been designed to support scalable and cost-effective networks to enable wireless broadband service providers to more broadly deploy Internet IP-based services. Axxcelera has worked closely with Intel over the past few years and our WiMAX CPEs (Customer Premise Equipment) integrate the Intel® PRO/Wireless 5116 broadband interface, the first IEEE 802.16-2004 compliant system on a chip (SoC) optimized for cost-effective WiMAX modems and residential gateways," said Jamal Hamdani, CEO and President of Axxcelera Broadband Wireless.

Axxcelera's ExcelMax™-FD platform is a 802.16-2004 compliant Non Line of Site (NLOS), point to multipoint (PMP) platform, designed to operate in the 3.3-3.8 GHz spectrum and supports a frequency division duplex (FDD) architecture. The ExcelMax-FD™ system is comprised of different base station solutions for different operator business models. The ExcelMax-TD™ platform is an 802.16-2004 compliant NLOS PMP platform, designed to operate in the 3.3-3.8 GHz spectrum and supports a time division duplex (TDD) architecture. The ExcelMax-TD™ system is comprised of a low cost outdoor Access Point (AP) communicating with hundreds of indoor and outdoor installed CPEs. Both platforms come with a strong suite of Quality of Service (QoS) features and triple play (data, voice and video) services, which allow a service provider to offer different Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to hundreds of residential, SoHo, MDU and SME from a single base station location. A centralized provisioning system and carrier class management platform, along with easy to use installation tools, support both platforms.

Axxcelera's AB Max™ platform is an 802.16-2004 compliant NLOS platform, designed to operate in the entire UNII 5 GHz and ETSI spectrums and supports a TDD architecture. AB Max™ supports both point-to-point (PTP) as well as PMP applications. The platform comes with a strong suite of QoS features for multiple services including Internet access, multimedia, voice and video applications.
