Azuki Systems Announces Company Expansion and Growing Industry Appetite for Interactive Mobile Media Services

Mobile Innovator Doubles Operational Footprint, Enters Additional Customer Trials and Builds Greater Momentum in Dynamic Industry

ACTON, MA--(Marketwire - November 18, 2008) - Azuki Systems, Inc., an innovator in the interactive mobile media technology market, today announced a significant company expansion. Since its June launch, Azuki has doubled its physical footprint and aggressively brought in additional talent to further the development of innovative interactive mobile media services. In addition, the company has entered into customer trials with major media companies, which are piloting the MashMedia Platform to help purpose their rich media assets for mobile and enable hassle-free content monetization.

"Our company expansion, both in terms of real estate and our employee-base, is a significant feat especially given the overall economic downturn -- and as such, is a testament to the demand for the seminal services we're offering to enhance the mobile experience," said Azuki co-founder and serial entrepreneur Cheng Wu. "Azuki has a pivotal role to play in this dynamic industry, and we look forward to continuing to help content publishers create, differentiate and monetize mobile media services -- thereby providing consumers with an individually customized and highly social experience."

Azuki's MashMedia Platform, which is in trials with companies including leading sports and national broadcast outlets, will enable them to provide "snackable" and interactive mobile media services that engage mobile users. The trial customers are eager to apply the power of the platform's core mashup engine, which harnesses contextual user intelligence and content metadata to dynamically assemble Web, premium and user-generated content services with targeted in-video advertising -- based on content themes or user preferences.

Additional milestones since Azuki's June launch include:

-- Expanded product offering - In October, Azuki enhanced its MashMedia
Platform with the innovative ClickZoom™ technology, enabling the
seamless chapterization of mobile content into snackable segments and
enabling an industry breakthrough in in-video mobile advertising.
-- Customer momentum - In addition to its work with leading automotive
content provider WheelsTV, Azuki also is helping to mobilize rich media
content for Boston.TV, a premier online video entertainment network.
-- Partnerships - In recent months, Azuki joined forces with global
content delivery network Limelight Networks to deliver rich media services
that expand virally, as well as thePlatform, the leading white-labeled
video management and publishing company, to deliver an optimized rich
    mobile media experience.
-- Key employee appointments - Azuki now has a staff of 40 employees and
recently appointed industry veterans Andy Roberts, vice president of
advanced technology, Mark Basler, vice president of business development,
and Dan Carney, vice president of operations.
-- Speaking engagements - Azuki executives have been invited to speak at
key industry events, including Digital Hollywood, Mobile Internet World and
the Harvard Business School (HBS) Centennial Entrepreneurship Conference.

"We look forward to building on this momentum and to a successful 2009," said Azuki CEO Jim Ricotta. "Mobile users are hungry for a richer, more personalized and more interactive user experience, and we are committed to helping content publishers deliver on that vision."
