B&B Electronics Ltd.: Certified Tracking Solutions Instrumental in Helping RCMP Recover Stolen Goods Worth Over $500,000

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 19, 2011) - Alberta based Certified Tracking Solutions (CTS) is proud to announce that their telematics fleet management system was instrumental in facilitating the recovery, seizure, and return of stolen goods worth more than $500,000 by the Airdrie RCMP.

Over the past few weeks CTS' "best in class" fleet management solutions have led to three separate recoveries of stolen goods by the RCMP. In one instance a Ford F350 truck was recovered, in another instance a Bobcat, and in the latest instance an expensive stump remover, valued at $100,000, was recovered and returned to its rightful owner, the Davey Tree Expert Company (Davey Tree).

Davey Tree's area supervisor, Mark Young, was notified of the stolen piece of equipment at approximately 4:00 a.m. on August 17th, 2011. As soon as a piece of Davey Tree's equipment exits their property they are notified by CTS instantly and in real-time. Mark Young was notified via instant text-message, as well as via email. "We are so pleased with CTS' GPS fleet management solutions. Their highly robust GPS device was able to locate our stolen stump remover and instantly notify us. We've come to rely on CTS fleet management solutions to help us keep track of, and locate our fleet on a real-time basis," commented Young.

Once Mark received and confirmed the details of the stolen stump remover, he was able to quickly contact the Airdrie RCMP and provide the exact coordinates of the stolen item. A short time later the Airdrie RCMP were able to easily locate the stolen stump remover which then led to the recovery of a series of stolen pieces of equipment, valued at approximately $500,000. The CTS GPS device that was affixed to the stump remover not only led to the recovery of the stolen goods, but also assisted the Airdrie RCMP in finding, and arresting the thief responsible, a 38 year old Balzac man.

"We're proud of the fact that our advanced GPS devices were able to lead to the recovery of Davey Tree's equipment while also allowing the Airdrie RCMP to recover $500,000 worth of stolen equipment," said Ben Jensen, CTS General Manager and Partner. "We're passionate about offering our clients specialized, reliable fleet management systems to track and protect their investments globally."
