NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 17, 2014) - B&H Photo is pleased to announce the grand prize winner of the B&H Wilderness Photo Competition as Jamie MacArthur's "A Splash of Blue" from the Birding category.
Jamie spent several days in a blind in the heat, getting bitten by insects, to finally get this shot. Congratulations, Jamie MacArthur, for a fine photograph that attracted the eyes of the judges by showing your perseverance in getting the peak of action with an uncommon bird. Jamie will be enjoying an African Safari for two, courtesy of Journeys Unforgettable and Wilderness Safaris, along with some new photo gear purchased at B&H with his $500 Gift Card. Jamie is from the United Kingdom, and we look forward to seeing the images that Jamie produces on safari in Botswana.

The People's Choice Popular Vote Award goes to Charles Chessler of New York City. Charles won this category due to an outstanding image, and the support the photo community bestowed upon him to accumulate the most verified votes. Charles will be going on safari to Namibia, and looks forward to photographing the wilderness in all its glory.
