B-Series Lamps Ideal for Crime Scene Investigation in the Field

WESTBURY, NY --(Marketwired - May 16, 2016) - Versatile, portable, lightweight, battery-operated Spectroline® B-Series UV lamps B-Series UV lamps are ideal for forensic investigation in the field or laboratory. They are used in the identification of biological evidence, such as blood, semen, saliva, urine and more.

Available in 4- and 6- watt single wavelength versions, these rugged lamps provide up to eight continuous hours of operation. The 365nm models come with integrally filtered long-wave UV tubes (BLB), which block the visible light and let the UV through. The 254nm models come with filter assemblies.

Short-wave UV-C (254 nm) lamps are effective investigative tools when used in conjunction with RUVIS (Reflective Ultraviolet Imaging System). A forensic technician can observe and detect 90% of untreated prints on smooth and non-porous surfaces.

Hand-held B-Series models come with a convenient wrist strap and are powered by 5 "C" cell (1.5 volt) alkaline batteries (not included).

The B-260 lantern-style lamp comes with a built-in handle, 6-volt rechargeable battery and AC charger.
