Back by Popular Demand: Cirtas Systems and Amazon Web Services Team to Present "Primary Storage That Doesn't Need Backup" Live Webinar Events

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - February 4, 2011) - Cirtas Systems, the first company to make cloud storage work like onsite enterprise storage arrays, today announced plans to team with Amazon Web Services to revise its live webinar event "Primary Storage That Doesn't Need Backup." Due to strong demand, the program will be presented again in its entirety on February 11th and 28th.

The one-hour event, which offers insights from Amazon Web Services Evangelist Jeff Barr and Cirtas Vice President of Marketing and Product Management Josh Goldstein, will discuss how traditional backups protect data, the complexity involved in implementing them and how they can be eliminated altogether leveraging Amazon's S3 cloud storage service in conjunction with the Cirtas Bluejet Cloud Storage Controller.

Amazon S3's architecture automatically provides powerful physical data protection; when combined with the Cirtas Bluejet Cloud Storage Controller's CloudSnap snapshot technology, they inherently deliver nearly continuous data protection (CDP) in enterprise primary storage systems.

"Storage and associated data protection technologies have been fundamentally the same for many years. But today it is possible to radically simplify and cost reduce storage by leveraging the power of the cloud, while maintaining equivalent levels of protection offered by primary storage with real-time off-site backups," said Josh Goldstein, VP of marketing and product development for Cirtas. "It's a timely topic that is resonating with storage administrators and we are pleased to again partner with Amazon to demonstrate how enterprise organizations can leverage the cloud to eliminate the need for separate backups and simplify storage management."

Co-presented by Cirtas and Amazon Web Services, the webinar "Primary Storage That Doesn't Need Backups" will broadcast live on February 11th at 11:00 AM PST / 2:00 PM EST, and again on February 28th at 11:00 AM PST / 2:00 PM EST. To attend, interested parties may register for free at:
