Baden Technologies Inc. Announces Operational Activity Updates for the Company's Domestic and International Divisions

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2008) - Baden Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BDZ):

Domestic Operations:

2007 Activities

Overall Domestic sales activity was slightly better than 2006. Project work was down slightly from the previous year; however, rental equipment and field services were up over the previous year.

During the year, Baden (through its wholly-owned subsidiary FSI):

- Completed fabrication, commissioning, crating and shipping a custom designed modular Chemical Blending Plant for Canadian client for end use at client's Angola location.

- Completed and shipped large Spare Parts order for Russian client for Brine Plant refurbishment.

- Started up large equipment and field service personnel project for an operator at a Fort McMurray SAGD project. This project is expected to terminate at spring break-up, 2008; however the contract will extend over a one year period.

In addition to these specific projects, the company is implementing plans to expand its domestic sales presence. Baden has hired a new Sales Manager for domestic sales and marketing, and has contracted a business consultant to assist in development and implementation corporate growth strategies.

2008 Activity Plan

Baden's domestic operations division - FSI - anticipates activity levels to be similar to 2006 and 2007 for Domestic fabrication projects, field equipment rentals and filter vessel and filter bag sales.

The company is presently in contract negotiations for a project utilizing FSI equipment fabrication and deployment, field plant development and field equipment with field personnel for introduction and development of a new proprietary technology for heavy oil production. It is expected that further details will be made available in the coming weeks.

Management projects increased fabrication activities in its Calgary manufacturing facility for Russian Brine Plants (see statement under International Operations below).

International Operations

2007 Activities

During the year, Baden (through its wholly-owned subsidiary FSI International):

- Completed fabrication, commissioning, crating and shipping Brine Plant #20 for Rosneft Oil, Vankor Field in northern Siberia. Equipment shipped in early December in a total of twenty loads. Estimated arrival to end of rail system in Western Siberia is January 31st, followed by further transport over 550 km of winter roads to final destination. The Company expects to start plant installation by April 1st. This was the third plant shipped in 2007; two are installed and operational in West Siberia. (pictures on our website -

- Completed fabrication and shipment of custom modular chemical blending units for oil production chemicals for final deployment to Angola, Africa and chemical transfer and field batching for Romanian project.

- Completed and shipped equipment for original brine plant spare parts to long time Russian client for refurbishment of two brine plants which have been in continuous service for 12 1/2 years.

2008 Activity Plan

FSI International is presently working on revised technical proposals and contract preparations on three brine plants (two larger models and one smaller plant) for 2008 delivery. The Company expects to complete contract arrangements on the first plant by early February, with additional two contracts to follow in one month intervals.

Information on each contract will be released as contracts are fully in place.

Expressions of interest from our Russian clients indicate a forecast of three brine plants to be produced in 2008, with a similar number for 2009. All pending plants are for existing, repeat clientele.
