'Badland' Opens in Theaters November 30

Poignant Tale Looks at the Impact of War on Returning Iraqi War Vet

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 14, 2007) - Francesco Lucente's "Badland," which takes a shocking, yet heartrending look at the aftermath of war on one returning Iraq war veteran and his family, is set for a theatrical release in Los Angeles, at Laemmle's Sunset 5, and in New York at AMC Empire 25 on November 30th to qualify for awards in all categories. The film is scheduled to open wider throughout the U.S. in January and February.

British actor Jamie Draven ("Billy Elliot") stars as the scarred vet. Eleven-year-old Grace Fulton portrays his daughter. The film also stars Vinessa Shaw ("3:10 To Yuma"), Chandra West ("The Salton Sea") and Joe Morton ("Ali," "American Gangster") and features songs from Bruce Springsteen, Ray LaMontage and Joe Morton. It was written and directed by Francesco Lucente and produced by Olimpia Lucente and Jörg Neumann.
