Bag of Hope is Back for the Christmas Season

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Nov. 17, 2014) - Last year Edmonton charity Bag of Hope enjoyed their 8th campaign to fill backpacks with life's necessities for patrons of Jasper Place Health & Wellness Centre and Mosaic Centre. They are hoping to break their record this year. Bag of Hope is calling on the public to start helping them prepare for this year's campaign. They are looking for donations of new items from the famously generous citizens of Edmonton.

Bag of Hope has started taking donations at the following locations:

  • ADESA Edmonton Public Auctions (1701 9th Street, Nisku, AB)

  • Armour Insurance (13179 - 146 St. NW, St. Albert Trail Place, Edmonton AND 5738 - 75 Street, Edmonton)

  • BubbleUP Marketing (#201, 17873 - 106A Ave, Edmonton)

The last day for donations is December 5th, 2014!

Ideal donations would include:

  • CLOTHES: hoodies, warm socks, warm gloves and long underwear (top and bottoms)

  • TOILETRIES: travel size shampoo, razors, shaving cream, deodorant for both men and women, bar of soap, toothbrushes & toothpaste

  • FOOD: granola bars, cup-a-soup, other items that can be opened without a can opener

A complete list of items can be found at

This year Bag of Hope is working with fantastic sponsors like CTV Edmonton, ADESA Edmonton Public Auctions, Tough Stuff Promotions, Armour Insurance and BNI Alberta North. Take a Stance Productions & DV-Ate Catering will be providing 200 Christmas dinners for Bag of Hope's distribution night.

Bag of Hope was started in 2006 by teenager Jesse Michaud who was able to distribute over 1500 backpacks in 5 years. BubbleUP Marketing has been running the charity for 3 years and has been very lucky to have received amazing support from the Edmonton and area population and businesses.
