Vikram Bajwa seeks the nomination for replacing Liberal candidate Joy Davies in the riding of South Surrey—White Rock, who withdrew her candidacy due to comments on the use of marijuana in homes and personal lives.

He had contested as an independent candidate for Mayor in Surrey in 2011 against Dianne Watts, who is the Conservative candidate in South Surrey—White Rock.

Bajwa feels the immigration and security issues have a say in South Surrey, which will change the winning candidate in South Surrey—White Rock. "Former mayor Dianne Watts had a very poor track record on crime in Surrey," said Bajwa.

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau will have the final word in replacing Joy Davies.
