BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwired - Dec 10, 2014) - Grochmal Eye Center is announcing the addition of optometrist Lindsey P. Schaale, OD to its eye care and optical center. Dr. Schaale will be conducting comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings, in addition to diagnosing complex ocular diseases such as glaucoma, dry eye, and macular degeneration. She will also be working with pre- and post-operative patients who are undergoing treatments such as laser vision correction, cataract surgery, or other procedures.
Dr. Schaale received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She later performed a variety of optometric internships and externships, gaining experience in ocular disease, pediatrics and binocular vision, primary care, and other fields. Dr. Schaale says she's very excited to get to know and take care of the patients at Grochmal Eye Center. "One of the most rewarding parts about being an optometrist is getting to meet so many interesting people and helping them with their eye care needs."
Dr. Schaale also notes that she's already been learning a great deal about the ins and outs of cataract, glaucoma, and LASIK laser vision correction procedures from the perspective of a surgeon. "Dr. Grochmal is such a wonderful teacher. I was fortunate to spend a day at the surgery center, observing Dr. Grochmal perform cataract and glaucoma treatments. These insights allow me to better care for our patients before and after surgery."
