Veteran Digital Journalism Strategist Joins Banjo to Advance Technology for Media

In his new role, Hernandez will be instrumental in enhancing the customer experience for Banjo's media partners who use the platform to power real-time news reporting.

As Director of Media Innovation, Hernandez will oversee all aspects of Banjo's digital journalism strategy as it pertains to media industry partnerships. Additionally, Hernandez will spearhead collaboration with education systems, integrating Banjo into journalism schools and curriculum across the country.

Hernandez comes to Banjo with 12+ years of experience in digital journalism strategy and new media technologies. He currently serves as a research fellow at the Reynolds Journalism Institute, where he explores the integration of wearable technology into news workflows and storytelling. Hernandez was also previously an Editorial Systems Program Manager for Turner Broadcasting System and CNN, where he led the vision and strategy around emerging technologies. Prior to this innovative role, he led CNN's global news editorial operations as Director of News Coverage from the company's headquarters.
