Banner Health and Westbrook Technologies Named 2009 I-Cubed Award Winners by Integrated Solutions Magazine

Award Presented at AIIM International Exposition and Conference

BRANFORD, CT--(Marketwire - April 13, 2009) - Westbrook® Technologies, developer of Fortis® enterprise document management (EDM) software, today announced that Banner Health received the 2009 I-Cubed Award for its implementation of Fortis. Presented by Integrated Solutions magazine, the I-Cubed Award recognizes an end user for a content management technology installation that best embodies the three "I's" -- it is innovative, integrates multiple technologies and inspires others. Integrated Solutions editorial staff rank each nominee based on this "three I" criteria.

Banner Health and Westbrook's Fortis were selected from 25 entries. Einar Haukeland, president and CEO of Westbrook Technologies, accepted the award presented by Ken Congdon, editor in chief of Integrated Solutions magazine, at the AIIM International Exposition and Conference recently held in Philadelphia.

Banner Health, based in Phoenix, AZ, is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the country with 22 hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the western U.S. and more than 35,000 employees.

"Our initial objective was to digitize the Central Billing Office in the Western Region," said Stacey Morris, director of Enterprise Integration Services for Banner Health. "The project was accomplished in four months with a ROI achieved five months post go-live. Success criteria for the initial implementation were to reduce days in AR, reduce costs associated with paper processing and increase staff productivity through efficiencies provided from electronic search and retrieval of documentation."

"With today's struggling economy, it has never been more important to promote the business efficiencies and cost savings that can be gained by leveraging today's document and content management technologies," said Ken Congdon, editor in chief of Integrated Solutions Magazine. "That's why we created the I-Cubed Award. This year's winner, Banner Health, exemplifies the tangible business benefits and ROI that can be enjoyed by deploying content management technology to streamline everyday business pains."
