Bard Ventures Ltd.: Lone Pine Molybdenum Property Drilling Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 16, 2007) - Bard Ventures Ltd. ("Bard" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CBS) is very pleased to announce that diamond drilling on its Lone Pine Molybdenum Property (the "Property") is progressing, and all holes to date have encountered visual molybdenum mineralization. The Property is located approximately 15 kilometers north-northwest of Houston, BC, and is situated in the Omineca Mining Division. No assays have yet been received from the initial holes drilled on the Property.

To date, four holes have been completed on the Property, and drilling is ongoing.

Hole No. Area or Zone Final Depth (m)
BD-07-08 East of Alaskite Zone 381
BD-07-09 Alaskite Zone 386.26
BD-07-10 Between Alaskite & Granby Zones 291.42
BD-07-11 Granby Zone 122
BD-07-12 Granby Zone Currently drilling

Drill hole BD-07-08 was drilled approximately 200 meters to the east of this year's earlier tests in the Alaskite Zone where 0.05% of molybdenum was encountered over 487.1m in BD-07-01. This hole was drilled on the shoulder of a moderate IP conductor and encountered considerable pyrite and pyrrhotite throughout the hole and, more notably, consistent molybdenum mineralization in quartz healed fractures from surface down to a depth of below 100 meters.

Drill hole BD-07-09 was drilled in the area of the Alaskite Zone, some 100 meters to the northeast of BD-07-01. This hole was drilled in a previously undrilled area and was designed to test the north flank of a broad IP conductor. The hole intersected molybdenum mineralization throughout its length, in Quartz Feldspar Dykes and also the intrusive encountered at depth.

Drill hole BD-07-10 was drilled to the northeast of the Alaskite Zone, on the road between the Alaskite Zone and the Granby Zone. It too was situated on the flank of a broad geophysical conductor and encountered molybdenum mineralization hosted in vertical quartz veinlets within a dioritic intrusive below 250 meters.

Drill hole BD-07-11 was designed to twin 1978 percussion drill hole M-3 in the Granby Zone. The collar of 07-11 ended up being approximately 20 meters to the south of the collar of M-3, and appears to have been across the faulted contact of an altered dioritic intrusive. Several thin sections of strong molybdenum mineralization were noted to occur in this hole, associated with quartz veining or within the matrix of breccias. The hole was halted at 122m due to difficult drilling conditions associated with the fault.

Drill hole BD-07-12 which is currently drilling, was sited approximately 10 meters to the north of M-3, and appears to be a much better retest of that earlier percussion hole. Here, much like 07-11, molybdenum is observed in quartz veining and also in the matrix in zones of brecciation within the hornfels.

Bard is earning a 100% interest in the Property under the terms of an option agreement (see News Release dated September 15, 2006). The Lone Pine exploration work is being conducted under the supervision of Qualified Person Jim Miller-Tait, P. Geo. a Director of Bard. All samples were analyzed by Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver utilizing the Group 1E methodology.
