Barisan Gold Appoints Shawn Wescott as President

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 2, 2014) - Barisan Gold Corporation (TSX VENTURE:BG) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Shawn Westcott as President of Barisan Gold.

Shawn Westcott joins Barisan Gold from NioCorp Developments Ltd. where he spent the last 3 years leading that company's corporate communications' team, focused mainly on marketing and finance activities. During the last twelve months of his tenure at NioCorp, the company raised substantial funds and saw its share price increase by 500%. Prior to NioCorp, Shawn was a licensed investment advisor at one of the major brokerage houses in Canada.

Shawn Westcott's employment is effective September 2, 2014. Barisan Gold is granting 300,000 incentive stock options having an exercise term of 5 years and an exercise price equal to today's closing market price to Mr. Westcott.
