Barnabus Gains Worldwide Rights to Proprietary Solar Technology

CALGARY, AB -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 26, 2005 -- Barnabus Energy, Inc. (OTC BB: BBSE) announced today the signing of an exclusive, worldwide license of Suncone, a technology developed by Dr. Melvin Prueitt, renowned author, inventor and former senior physicist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Suncone is a high-efficiency solar concentrating system that provides an economical method of collecting thermal power for the production of electricity. It operates at higher temperatures and higher efficiencies than parabolic trough collectors operate at, and is less expensive than either solar trough or dish systems. Current studies anticipate lower manufacturing and maintenance costs combined with noticeably improved weather resistant durability. Suncone provides a second significant opportunity via its dual ability to desalinate and cleanse water at considerable cost savings over existing systems.

"We are very excited by our partnership with Dr. Prueitt," stated David Saltman, senior advisor to Barnabus. "If the next stage of development is successful, we are confident that we can commercialize solar systems that will provide cost competitive electricity to industrial parks, remote villages, and even urban power grids." Additionally, the Suncone system meets the requirements of programs such as California's Environmentally Preferred Advanced Generation (EPAG) distributed electrical generation initiative.

Dr. Prueitt, an award-winning physicist and possessor of eighteen patents in the fields of renewable energy, desalination of water, and magnetic energy storage stated: "Suncone can clearly help solve the world's problems of energy and fresh water shortages while reducing the overall emission of green house gasses."
