SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - January 4, 2011) - Barona Resort & Casino is breaking out a "Free-4-All" as a special incentive for its Club Barona members. The casino is ramping up its offerings in January with a free weekly slot tournament open to all Club Barona members featuring $50,000 in cash prizes and an estimated $25,000 in mailed myOFFERS.
"This free tournament is a great way to have fun in the New Year," said Maylette Garces, executive director of casino marketing at Barona Resort & Casino. "With free registration, players will get the chance to compete for amazing cash prizes and Club Barona exclusive offers."
Club Barona members can register in front of Barona's El Rancho Grande Mexican restaurant located on the casino floor at no cost for the slot tournament, held every Tuesday throughout the month of January, and will have the opportunity to compete once weekly in a five-minute round between noon to 10 p.m.
Tournament participants with the top five scores each week will earn cash prizes including: $10,000 for 1st place; $1,000 for second place; and $500 for those who place 3rd through 5th. A leader board will be posted at the South Club Barona booth and online on www.Barona.com beginning each Thursday announcing the weekly winners. Participants who play in the tournament each of the four weeks and also earn 500 myPOINTS each Tuesday will receive a bonus $50 myOFFER offer via mail valid February 1-28.
Also happening in January is Barona's inaugural Power Party, a 1980s themed casino-wide celebration featuring a live band performing all of the greatest hits from the 80s on the Hayloft stage and awesome music videos from the 80s will be on display on various screens throughout the casino.
Club Barona members playing at their favorite machine or table game on January 28 will be eligible to win $500 in myFREEPLAY every five minutes from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. during the Power Party promotion.
