Barona Resort & Casino Debuts New Seafood Plaza Restaurant

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - August 24, 2009) - Barona
Resort & Casino announced today the debut of a new Seafood Plaza
restaurant. Earlier last month, the resort successfully opened an Italian Cucina
restaurant that has been bustling ever since the grand opening where
hundreds of guests were in attendance.
"In this economy people are craving simple and delicious meals at an
affordable price," said Rick Salinas, general manager of Barona Resort &
Casino. "The menu concept for both the Italian Cucina and Seafood Plaza is
a back-to-basics approach using locally grown, farmed and fished
ingredients whenever possible. From gourmet pastas to market fresh fish,
the menus offer something for every palate and budget."
Designed by Solana Beach-based W. Morris Architects, Ltd., the Seafood
Plaza restaurant can accommodate up to 50 diners. The value-oriented
restaurant offers a variety of seafood options starting from $6.95
including Classic New England Clam Chowder in a Bread Boule, Barona's Jumbo
Shrimp Cocktail, Chilled Alaskan King Crab Jumbo Leg in a Cucumber-Mint
Salsa and Mediterranean-Style Shrimp Ceviche with Tomato, Onion Cucumber,
Parlsey, Lime and Feta. The Seafood Plaza also boasts a selection of
grilled menu items from its Char Grill ranging from $6.95 to $12.95 such as
the BBQ Seafood Skewer with Grilled Halibut, Shrimp, Pineapple and Chipotle
Glaze, Butcher Sausage Skewer with Three House-Made Sausages and Pesto
Drizzle ($6.95) and Classic Clams "Casino." Guests will also be able to
enjoy oysters from the Raw Bar and selections of Barona Signature Rolls
from the Sushi-Sashimi Bar.
