Barrett-Jackson Sells Out of Consignments Ahead of Sixth Annual Las Vegas Auction

Nearly 700 Unique Vehicles Are Set to Cross the Block September 26-28, 2013

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Sep 23, 2013) -  With the collector car industry booming, Barrett-Jackson, The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, is proud to announce that the company has sold out of consignments for its renowned Las Vegas auction, taking place at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, September 26-28, 2013.

This will be the largest Las Vegas auction in the company's history, with nearly 700 incredible classics, exotics, muscle cars, hot rods, resto-mods and contemporary collectibles set to sell on the auction block in front of a global audience. This diverse offering of vehicles represents every facet and level of the collector car hobby, creating a welcoming atmosphere for collectors looking to enhance their automotive lifestyle.

The growth and interest in collector cars has risen significantly post-recession. In fact, according to recent reports, prices for classic cars have grown by 28 percent in the last 12 months and more than doubled over the past five years. Barrett-Jackson's continued success in 2013 and increase in Las Vegas inventory are examples of the trend.

"Television coverage has brought so many new collectors to the hobby since Barrett-Jackson pioneered the concept in 1997," said Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. "Now with multiple FOX channels and a wider audience, Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas is sure to bring even more interest and demand. We are all looking forward to watching the excitement unfold."

The 2013 Las Vegas auction will be the first Barrett-Jackson auction to be broadcast live on three different FOX networks: FOX Sports 1 (FS1) -- which is the re-launch of SPEED and one of the largest national 24-hour multi-sports networks ever offered; FOX Sports 2 (FS2), which is the re-branded FUEL TV, carrying a wide array of sports and events designed to appeal to a younger demographic; and the National Geographic Channel, bringing the collector car world to a whole new audience. The groundbreaking mix of coverage means that 22 hours of Barrett-Jackson auction programming will be available to the largest audience in collector car auction history, further establishing the auction as a world-renowned lifestyle experience.

"I am very proud of this exhilarating Las Vegas docket of nearly 700 diverse collector vehicles," said Steve Davis, President of Barrett-Jackson. "After executing such a remarkably successful inaugural event in Reno and then transitioning to a sold-out Las Vegas event, this illustrates once again why the Barrett-Jackson experience is second to none."
